Nobody told me at 7 y/o that this song was meant for, say, ppl going through death in the family (helping folks through that trauma). I was out here singing this song while trying to go to sleep at night, trying to convince myself at 7 8 9 years old that i shouldn't still be crying myself to sleep over the physical and emotional abuse that i was actively facing on a darn near daily.
